5 photos that will make you want to visit Yangshuo, China!

I’m not an expert photographer, but I do like to experiment with my camera and I’ve been to some places that are just so beautiful, you can’t help but take awesome photos. One such place is the area around Yangshuo in China’s Guanxi province.

The town is nestled in the midst of China’s most spectacular karst scenery and the opportunities for taking spectacular photos are endless. The best time to visit the area is during the hot, humid months between May and September when the landscape is at its lushest, and most photogenic!

This was the view from our hotel balcony, looking out over the amazing karst limestone hills.
The Li River is the area’s major river, meandering some of the area’s most stunning scenery.
Taking a boat trip on the Li River is one of the most relaxing ways of appreciating the area’s otherworldly beauty.
The river is also home to the mountains that feature on China’s 20 renminbi bank note.
It’s hot and there’s plenty of water here, the perfect condition for growing rice in paddies.

So, what are you waiting for?! Grab your camera and head to Yangshuo to get your own pics of the stunning landscapes!
